“I don’t know how I’m going to do all of this.  This is taking up way too much time. I don’t have a life, all I do is work.  Are my goals going to be achieved? Is this going to happen? I can’t believe I forgot about that? Oh shoot I’m late!”

Do you say any of these things in your life?  Are you overwhelmed by the amount of things you are responsible for, have to remember to do and just trying to keep your head above water?  Well you might want to consider you are not managing your life. Yes I said it “YOU ARE NOT MANAGING YOUR LIFE!” Your life is managing you!  Yes this has been the hard truth I am facing. There have been so many new things happening in my life and before they arrived things were busy….now more as added.  Listen, I love it don’t get me wrong, I wanted it all. I am not managing my life right now, it’s managing me…I am living life like I have no control, that everything I have going on is controlling me.  This is not the case, I am the human being with the function to move, see, breathe, hear, feel, touch, speak….not the things going on in my life. And, on top of that I chose it all. So now it’s up to me, myself and I to manage it all.  I have 2 choices, I can continue living my life scattered, overwhelmed, forgetting things, missing deadlines, wanting to withdraw OR I can take responsibility for my life and make it all work. My answer is ‘schedule my life, schedule it all.’

“The things that get scheduled are the things that get done.” Robin Sharma

Yep, what gets scheduled gets done.  So that is now what I am doing. I am scheduling everything from dates, exercise, organize taxes, business meetings, everything!  No longer having to remember it all, my schedule will tell me what to do. I need to free up my mind space so I can experience life around me and not sorting through my thoughts on what is next to do.  Take your life back so you can enjoy every moment and achieve your goals. You deserve it.

Do yourself a favour and use a calendar for your life and then do what it tells you to do.  You may be presently surprised how freeing it is. Will you take it on?
